 "Do you fancy coming to Zumba with me?"

That's what a long term friend who's now also part of the tALk active team used to ask me on a weekly basis!

 

From a ballet & tap dancer as a young child, competitive ballroom dancer, majorette and then adult tap dancer, my love of different kinds of music and dance soon became a passion. I loved to be active, but wasn't keen on gyms or exercise that felt like hard work!

After finally being talked into going along to my very first class, I can honestly say, I was hooked and my only question was why hadn't I gone sooner?!

When something leaves you constantly thinking about how soon you can get to your next class, you know it's made an impact. I felt alive, buzzing, energised, motivated & hungry for more after just one class.

As if that isn't enough, the health benefits are amazing too. I understand the struggle of health & weight issues after having children. Since starting Zumba my blood pressure has lowered and I've never felt as fit and healthy as I do now.

I felt extremely honoured when Anne asked me to be part of her amazing team at the beginning of 2015 and haven't looked back since.

Being known as 'Smiley Jane' I hope you leave the class feeling as happy & inspired as I did and continue to do now, as an Instructor.
